Audi Puts Partial Matting into Volume Production

Audi customers will be able to drive even more individualized cars in the future – thanks to partial matting. With the #2 special edition of the Audi Q2, the brand is now using this innovative painting process for the first time in volume production. A fine beam minimally roughens the top layer of paint and creates a matt image. In this way, lettering, logos or photos can be displayed on the painted sheet metal with pixel accuracy and abrasion resistance. Audi is the first automobile manufacturer to offer its customers this kind of individualization.

Decontaminating Soil Using Bioremediation

During oil and gas exploitation in the oil fields, pipelines and storage tanks often crack and contaminate soil as a result. Soil pollution with various oils or diesel fuel also happens during exploration and drilling of new wells. When replacing underground reservoirs at petrol stations, it is necessary to remove the soil around the reservoir. This soil is contaminated with gasoline and diesel fuels. Croatian company CorteCros part of Cortec^® Corporation Group, provides environmentally safe bioremediation solutions for these issues with Bionetix products.

PaintExpo 2020 with Strong Demand for Booth Locations

Just a few months after the seventh edition of the world's leading trade fair for industrial coating technologies closed – which achieved new record-breaking numbers with regard to exhibitors, visitors and internationalism – firm bookings for booth floor space at PaintExpo 2020 have already been submitted by 304 companies from 19 countries. At a current level of 124,000 square feet, net exhibition floor space already amounts to more than 74% of the level reached at the last event. This is a strong indication that the upcoming PaintExpo will once again be larger than ever before.

BASF is Most Sustainable Innovation Partner for BMW

BASF was honoured with a BMW Supplier Innovation Award 2018 as the winner in the Sustainability category. BMW Group said BASF achieved the best performance in CO2 emissions in the report published by the non-governmental organization CDP.
