Biesterfeld and Evonik are strengthening their long-standing partnership in Eastern Europe in the field of coating additives for paint and varnishes.
Biesterfeld and Evonik, are expanding their long-term cooperation in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia, where Biestefeld will distribute the ACEMATT®, AEROSIL®, AERODISP®, AEROXIDE®, SIPERNAT®, SPHERILEX®, ZEOFREE®, ZEOTHIX® and ZEOLEX® products by Evonik.

The products
Silica products are crucial in producing paint and varnish formulations. In particular:
- ACEMATT® matting agents are precipitated or fumed silicas, suitable for direct use, that do not require high shear forces when processed as part of paint formulations.
- AEROSIL® and AERODISP® are fumed silicas, used for rheology control in various applications, able to modify the anti-settle and anti-sag properties of solvent- and water-based paints and varnishes.
- SIPERNAT® and ZEOLEX® are special fillers used as titanium dioxide extenders.
- SPHERILEX® helps to improve the mechanical durability of wall paints.
