The new site of Belzona will include a training and application area with a fully equipped presentation suite and practical workshop space.
Belzona has recently celebrated the official opening ceremony of its new independent hub in the United Kingdom, that will include training, distribution and in-house application spaces. The £3 million (€3,510,000) facility has then been carefully selected and designed to provide the British market with a new training and application area – featuring a fully equipped presentation suite and newly built practical workshop space measuring 585 m2
– as well as a stocked and operational warehouse measuring 900 m2. The investment will allow the company to strengthen its focus on training, raising nationwide application standards.
“Today, as we open this new office, we are reinforcing our dedication to the British market. Although the Belzona brand has branched out to the furthest reaches of the globe over the years, the United Kingdom remains one of the most important markets we have,” has stated Philip Robinson, the applications and training director. “Belzona now has its own dedicated on demand stock, product application and training centre, all built with the UK market in mind. This provides us with the autonomy we need to best serve our clients for years to come.”
The official opening ceremony took place on 31st January, just two weeks before the 72nd anniversary of the company. The event started with a speech from Philip Robinson – the director of Belzona – followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony performed by the president Joel Svendsen. Among others, the company welcomed councillors for Flintshire and Welsh Government officials, including Cllr Gladys, Dave Healey and Lord Barry Jones.
Later, an informal lunch granted the opportunity to mingle with the personnel of Belzona and discuss its continuing commitment to investing in the local community through schemes
such as the ‘1% volunteering scheme’ and raising money for charities within the Flintshire area. Finally, a magician delighted guests with sleight of hand and close up magic performances, which was followed by a tour of the purpose-built training facility to explore the range of repair solutions manufactured by the company.
