Cauê de Arruda assumed the position of president of Evonik Argentina and Evonik Chile.
Since January, Evonik Argentina and Evonik Chile have a new president: Cauê de Arruda assumed the management of the business in the two countries, as well as responsibility for the Functional Solutions business line for the Central and South American region.
Cauê de Arruda replaced Marcos Salgueiro, who has assumed the vice-presidency of the Nutrition & Care division for the Central and South America region, in addition to the position of regional director of the Care Solutions business line. Arruda will operate from the Argentine headquarters in Buenos Aires, where Evonik owns a production plant for sodium methylate, a key catalyst in biodiesel production. The goal will be to overcome current economic challenges, promote the growth of the company throughout the region and create a secure environment for growth.
“Assuming this position is a great honor. We have enormous potential in various areas, such as agriculture and in the area of renewable energy. Our biggest challenge is to promote the region and attract investment. I think the future is very promising," said Arruda in his first meeting with all the collaborators of the company. “With this culture, we will be able to get through the global crisis abd achieve consistent growth based on resilience, making ourselves even stronger.”
