Berlin – The new Oven Tracker XL2 from temperature profiling leader DATAPAQ indicates the success or failure of industrial coating processes at one glance upon leaving the oven. Green and red LEDs signal whether preprogrammed process criteria have been met. This immediate quality assessment enables users to identify and correct any problem very early, thus improving productivity and reducing costs.
Oven Tracker XL2 units can carry out ten consecutive profiling runs without individual downloading, thereby saving time and effort while maintaining full transparency for quality assurance and documentation.
The innovative two-part data logger consists of a 6 or 8-channel transducer, which can connect up to 16 type K thermocouples by means of a dual interface block, and a detachable MemoryPaq. In addition to compiling complete temperature profiles, the latter can monitor the index of cure, Time at Temperature, or Maximum Temperature and signal compliance with the specifications via a green or a red LED. DATAPAQ has developed the index of cure (or "DATAPAQ Value") drawing on long years of experience in the field; it measures surface quality which depends on various factors such as thickness, heat transfer capability, oven location, and line speed. The Insight Professional and Insight Basic analysis software packages enable any user from technical specialist to line operator to evaluate and control curing processes and to create a certified profile report (Qualicoat, ISO9000, CQI-12).
DATAPAQ provides a range of thermal barriers to suit various applications from all kinds of industries. The standard XL2 barrier, designed specifically for use on automotive paint lines, features a patented silicone-free design eliminating the dangers of contamination and paint finish defects and facilitating high quality. Additionally, the XL2 system includes a comprehensive range of thermocouple options to suit any process or product requirement, providing convenient access to tight, difficult-to-access recesses on a car body. For higher-temperature processes, DATAPAQ supplies glass fiber and mineral insulated cable options.
