DIC Corporation has inaugurated a dedicated laboratory for evaluating resins for automotive coatings and infrastructure applications.
DIC Corporation has recently announced that its two subsidiaries in India have inaugurated the new DIC South Asia Private Limited Application Lab, a dedicated laboratory for evaluating coating resins for automotive coatings and infrastructure applications. The new facility – opened in February 2024 – will be managed by DIC South Asia Private Limited and Ideal Chemi Plast Private Ltd.
The Indian coating resins market is currently growing at an annual rate of almost 9%, so the company believes it represents a particularly promising sector and it is then working to expand its presence in the country by building a second production plant in the Badlapur site of Ideal Chemi Plast, which was acquired in in 2019. The new laboratory will enable DIC to quickly respond to the needs of its local clients and to offer comprehensive solutions that include resins, compounding formulations and processed samples.
