Dow is gearing up for the European Coatings Show 2019 with a forward-looking, collaborative approach to paint and coatings development, with a call to customers and industry partners to "Shape Tomorrow. Together."
DOW intends to use the platform of one of the world's leading coatings exhibitions – held in Nuremberg, Germany from March 19 to 21 – to invite customers to work together to create targeted, inspirational innovations that will help drive sustainable industry growth.
Water-based acrylic emulsion technology developed by Dow has already revolutionized the industry. Now, with a mission to further improve the long-term sustainability of value chains and help customers achieve even more competitive advantages, Dow is eager to enhance its reputation for technical leadership even further.
Developments highlighted on Stand 206 in Hall 4A will include technology designed to:
- meet demands of the future with MIT label-free solutions
- widen application potential with rheology modifiers
- broaden the functionality of additives with silicones
- improve paint functionality – inside and out – with FORMASHIELD Abatement Technology and DIRTSHIELD Emulsion portfolios, for example
- advance environmental responsibility through improved raw material efficiency, using EVOQUE Pigment Encapsulation Technology
- pave the way for more sustainable road marking with new binders being added to the FASTRACK Water-borne Technology suite
- drive environmental and efficiency improvements in Liquid Applied Sound Dampening.
Dow's technical experts are also featuring at the associated European Coatings Congress, with presentations including developments in HEUR rheology modifiers for varied temperatures; latest film-forming binder technology to drive performance in low sheen, durable matte paints; enabling biocide-free water-borne coatings with innovative binders and additives; and using silicone technology for snail-trail free exterior paints.
