Italgard presents at PaintExpo 2014 (Hall 2, stand 2553) the new registered trademark for its test panel division, accompanied by a corporate identity and the unique hole in the GARDPANEL metal sheet.
This is a further step of the company to organize even more the production division of metal panels for laboratory tests and colour samples for chemical industries. Italgard, Inverigo (CO, Italy) has been working for several decades in the cutting, bending and deep drawing sector of the metal sheet. In 1988, following the requests made by a multinational company in the painting and coating sector, the company started producing metal panels used by chemical industries, in particular of the paints, pigments, solvents, paints for the lamination of metal, chemical pre-treatments field, in the laboratory tests carried out to verify their product performances.
After the first productions, Italgard realized that it's not simply producing a piece of metal sheet but a product with a strategic function, on which it is worth investing to increase the quality and diversify the product range compared to that of foreign competitors.
In this way, the same year the metal sheet production division for laboratory test was born, and with that the material research department in order to give to the customers the chance to carry out more suited and reliable tests according to the kind of application. This means specializing in the supply of panels with innovative materials and surface pre-treatments.
The development of this activity pushes Italgard to create GARDPANEL, an independent trademark, whose soul is Danilo Gabbioni, one of the owner of Italgard. He made the decision of pulling alongside the metal sheet production the one for colour samples, both for painting producers (which use them to show colours and effects to the customers) and for some users, like doors and windows producers. Thanks to the in-house coating plant, GARDPANEL provides quick delivery, flexibility, colour and finishing accuracy.
Nowadays Italgard, with the GARDPANEL brand, is the leading European producer of panels for laboratory tests and colour samples for the chemical industry. Materials used (aluminium, iron, brass) and surface treatments assure a long-lasting quality of the surfaces, reducing to the minimum the support variation over time. The GARDPANEL flexible service also allows to provide non-standard or customized metal panels.
The introduction of technologies like inert atmosphere packaging of the chromated metal sheet to prevent the starting of the oxidation process is just one example of the quality of production processes.
