Designed and manufactured by BYK-Gardner USA, this advanced line of viscometers leverages Direct Drive Technology to deliver accurate, repeatable, and reliable results.

GARDCO, a supplier of physical and inspection instruments for the paints and coatings industry, has unveiled its new byko-visc CP Cone & Plate viscometers.

“Our new viscometers are equipped with direct drive technology and electrically enabled up & down controls, ensuring precise and consistent results every time,” has stated James Fusco, Product Manager of GARDCO.

These new models, available in both high-temperature and low-temperature variants, are equipped with Lite firmware options for enhanced performance. Featuring a robust direct drive motor and an electronic cone lift, the viscometers provide good precision and consistency. With minimal sample volume requirements and the ability to apply high shear rates in a controlled geometry, the byko-visc CP viscometers ensure reproducible and absolute viscosity measurements.

The new line includes:

  • byko-visc CP L (5-75°C).
  • byko-visc CP H (50-235°C).
  • byko-visc CP Lite L and byko-visc CP Lite H (fixed-speed models).

Byko-visc CP Cone & Plate viscometers have good quality, design, and engineering, offering accuracy, repeatability, and intuitive operation.

Key Features

  • Absolute Viscosity Measurement: Fixed cone geometries ensure precise results.
  • Integrated Temperature Control: Eliminates the need for external thermal systems.
  • Small Sample Volumes: Requires less than 2 mL, reducing material waste and cleanup time.
  • Precise Shear Rates: Ideal for non-Newtonian samples, powered by a robust direct drive motor.
  • Versatility: Suitable for high and low shear applications with a single instrument.
  • Quick Cone Switching: No recalibration needed, enabling seamless transitions.
  • Bayonet Coupling: Ensures easy and secure cone attachment.

About GARDCO

GARDCO’s roots trace back to 1935 with Henry Alfred Gardner, Sr., a pioneer in paint chemistry, and his son, Paul Norris Gardner. Initially established as the Henry A. Gardner Laboratory in Maryland, the company evolved under Paul’s leadership, eventually becoming the Paul N. Gardner Company, Inc. and relocating to Pompano Beach, Florida. Today, GARDCO continues its legacy of excellence, delivering high-quality scientific instruments and laboratory equipment to industries worldwide.
