The new Coatings & Construction laboratory of IMCD will help its partners and clients in South East Europe to develop new formulations.

has recently announced the opening of a new Coatings & Construction laboratory in Vienna (Austria) dedicated to industrial coatings and decorative paints. The site will help the international distributor, formulator and solutions provider of speciality chemicals to support its partners and clients in South East Europe and develop new formulations, in line with current market trends.
The laboratory was officially inaugurated on 19th April 2023, with over thirty customers from five different countries attending the ceremony. In addition to serving as a laboratory, the facility will also be used as a training centre for customers and employees, as it is equipped with an analytical area, a testing area and a spraying chamber that allows to apply finished formulations.
“It is important to support customers with new formulation developments. Our focus is on creating sustainable and innovative solutions that meet local market standards. Several formulation projects have already shown added value for our partners in the South East European region,” has stated Johann Milchram, the managing director of IMCD for the South-East European region. “With an international network of fourteen laboratories and the exchange of know-how between our experts, we can guarantee maximised support for sustainable formulation development.”
