Also this year ipcm® dedicates an issue to the technological developments of the surface treatments applied to the automotive industry, with technical case studies carried out at leading companies in the production and finishing of cars and their components.
We will present the two flagships of the Italian car industry: The Alfa 4C sports car, whose coating technology took – and won – the challenge of finishing a vehicle entirely made of composite material with an industrial process, and the luxurious Maserati Ghibli. We will also deal with alloy wheels, a necessary complement to the design and performance of a car, as well as a sector where two Italian companies are calling the shots in terms of quality.
Last, but not least, we are pleased to present the world premiere of the first high productivity, continuous PVD chrome plating system in the world, ready to meet the volumes required by the automotive sector.
