The beginning of the new year brings with it many innovations.

The beginning of the new year is traditionally the best opportunity to draw up programs, projects and good intentions. ipcm® also has many news and projects in store for 2021.

We have left behind the most atypical and difficult year that the whole world has ever experienced and which forced the entire population to stop - at least physically.

What did not stop, however, was the work of the editorial staff of ipcm®, which was not discouraged by the stop of trade fairs and trips but took the opportunity to study new projects that will finally see the light during 2021.

ipcm® OnAir - Broadcasting Innovation

ipcm® OnAir is the new disruptive, innovative, technological, engaging, promotional, versatile, comprehensive and authoritative telecast-like format powered by ipcm® to offer the sector an opportunity to meet and promote technological innovations, using an unprecedented new platform.

The broadcasts will be recorded in a soundstage, where the real and the virtual will meet and will form a backdrop for debates, in-depth analysis, live interactions that will involve industry experts of all surface finishing process phases.

ipcm®_Academy - The new courses are starting

In January we defined and made available the 2021 training program of the training course organized by the Academy division of the ipcm® suite of magazines. The course will certify the new professional role of Technician of Industrial Surface Finishing Processes.

The course, officially presented during the Digital Open Day held on January 20, aims to define the problems related to metallic materials protection and finishing, deepening the individual phases of the manufacturing process, from surfaces pre-treatment to quality control. At the end of this 100-hour course (practical activities included), the student will be able to take the final exam and, in case of positive outcome, will obtain the certification of Technician of Industrial Surface Finishing Processes - a professional role recognised by the Subcommittee of the Lombardy Region and included in the Framework of Professional Standards of the Lombardy Region recognized at national and European level.

New website…Loading 90%

The ipcm® team is also engaged in completing the new website which will be online starting from March 1st. Renewed in terms of graphics, contents and information management, the new site was created with the intent to provide the surface treatment sector with an even richer and more complete information portal and improve the user experience of visitors.

The site will have a fresher and more engaging interface, thanks to images and multimedia contents, and will be more intuitive thanks to the redistribution of content. Furthermore, the new layout will allow us to expand our display advertising offer, giving our customers the possibility to choose new formats and ways of promotion.

An increasingly complete and digital offer

If 2020 has given an extra boost to the development of digital, ipcm® - which has always believed in and has made digital innovation its strong point within the sector - continues to innovate: starting from the number of January/February of ipcm®_International Paint & Coating Magazine, you will find an interactive index on all editions of our publications. It's a small technical innovation that greatly facilitates the reading of the digital version: by clicking on the title of each article in the index, you will be redirected directly to the page of interest.

Furthermore, from issue 67 of ipcm®_International Paint & Coating Magazine, we have inaugurated a new section: The Marketing Corner. Here you will find original content, articles, trends and best practices to better orient yourself in the world of communication and digital marketing.
