LB Group confirmed its participation at the next edition of CHINACOAT to showcase its latest titanium dioxide pigments for the coatings industry.
The Chinese chemicals supplier LB Group has announced its participation at CHINACOAT 2023 in Shanghai (China) from November 15th to 17th, where the company will showcase its new TiO2
pigments for coatings and inks.
LB Group will then present several solutions such as
the
BILLIONS™ R-996 pigment, that is a durable sulphate process TiO2
pigment designed for external and internal architectural coatings as well as for industrial and powder coatings, the BILLIONS™ BLR-895 pigment, a chloride process TiO2 pigment that delivers brilliant whiteness with a blue undertone in external and internal architectural coatings, and the BILLIONS™ TR52 pigment – a specialist sulphate process TiO2 pigment designed specifically for printing inks.
“Last year we developed BILLIONS™ BLR-891 pigment, a high opacity titanium dioxide pigment for coatings, manufactured using the chloride process. BLR-891 has outstanding dispersion and excellent opacity and tint strength. We are recommending BLR-891 for a range of interior coatings applications. It can also be used in e-coatings,” has stated Julie Red, Marketing Manager of LB Group.
Furthermore, LB Group has commissioned a new 200kt chloride capacity at the site of Chuxiong (China) and last year has begun to produce the intermediate TiO2 calciner discharge at its new facility in Jinchang (China). Lastly, the company has started to build another 200kt TiO2
pigment finishing plant at the Xiangyang site (China).
“We are continuing to invest to increase manufacturing capacity still further. We expect to have around 700kt chloride process TiO2
pigment capacity by 2025. Our continuous product development and successful customer trials have recently produced new and improved TiO2
pigments for coatings and inks. At CHINACOAT 2023 we will be showcasing BILLIONS™ TR53 pigment, our latest sulphate process TiO2 pigment designed for reverse laminate printing inks. It has been optimized to deliver excellent dispersion and high opacity in relevant resin systems,” has concluded Red.
