The trade fair StocExpo will host the FETSA Tank Storage and the Terminal Operations & Safety conferences during the three-day event.

StocExpo, an international trade fair dedicated to tank storage that will be hosted from 14th to 16th March 2023 at Rotterdam Ahoy (the Netherlands), has announced the two simultaneous conference streams that will take place during the three days of the event.

On Tuesday, the FETSA Tank Storage Conference will explore the impact of the war in Ukraine on supply routes and describe how companies can ensure that their storage needs are met for the future, while the Terminal Operations & Safety Conference will feature sessions on improving behavioural safety at the terminal and real-case examples, as well as debating challenges arising from Dutch explosion safety regulations.

The following day, FETSA will cover the energy transition for storage terminals, providing an Iberian perspective. There will also be sessions on how electrical RTO technology and vapour recovery units can help gas venting go green and become more cost effective, assessing storage demands for future fuels. The other conference, on the other hand, will include a talk on managing the transition to fluorine-free foams and an exploration of what level of sustainability mapping can realistically be achieved in the tank storage sector. There will also be a session on recent developments in corrosion-under-insulation management for storage terminals.

Finally, on 16th March, the FETSA stream will be made up of talks on preparing terminals against cyber threats, an in-depth look at digital transformation at Shell Energy & Chemical Park and a talk on how I-IOT can save costs and CO2 emissions.

“Things are changing so fast in the tank storage and future fuels industry, we have decided to double up our conference with two streams of talks on some of the most pressing trends, challenges and opportunities. We have an exciting line-up of industry experts and thought leaders ready to share their knowledge and insights, and I would encourage anyone in the tank storage industry to sign up as a delegate and join us for what promises to be a truly enlightening and informative event,” has declared Rikki Bhachu, the head of marketing for StocExpo.
