Sun Chemical raises the prices of inks, coatings, consumables and adhesives in Latin America.
Sun Chemical has announced price increase of its entire portfolio of inks, coatings, consumables and adhesives in Latin America, effective immediately or under contract terms. The company will contact its customers to communicate specific price increases.
The cause of the price increases of Sun Chemicals products comes from the continuing inflationary pressure and the lack of materials
that have a strong impact on the raw materials and packaging markets. The global transport crisis is also contributing to further cost increases. Furthermore, the strong impact of inflation on the various components of the production process is aggravating the situation. Sun Chemical is working to mitigate the impact of these increases. However, the magnitude and speed of the situation require the company to implement a price increase to offset the impact on the business.
“Sun Chemical maintains its commitment to provide its customers with the highest quality products on the market and continues to leverage on its global network to ensure the supply of the raw materials necessary to manufacture these products,” said Fernando Tavara, President of Sun Chemical Latin America. “However, our cost optimization programs are not enough to compensate for the magnitude and speed of increases in materials, so we need to raise prices to our customers to ensure continuity in the supply of our products with the expected qualities.”
