Easy and efficient to apply, the Teodur range of architectural polyester powder coatings allows users to express their creativity without compromising on strong functional properties.
Traffic White – a colour from Teodur's Matt Collection specially for aluminium and galvanised steel applications – was recently used to provide the perfect finish for an eye-catching set of outdoor furniture by Belgian design brand bastalpe®: The Finn & Krakk. A collaboration between Sébastien Talpe and Giel Dedeurwaerder, the intriguing table Finn is built from a bent aluminium sheet which is then powder coated. This provides a stable shape while maintaining the minimalistic design. With the Finn comes the Krakk, a stool. And each one is unique, combining straight and organic forms, just like the table.
Sébastien Talpe, the designer behind bastalpe®, says: "The Finn and Krakk are perfect examples of a design that is humble and discreet thanks to its pure lines. We demand the very best of our suppliers and that is why the collection is coated with Axalta Coating Systems' high-quality powder coatings. The soft touch finish was key to the success of the design. We have a long-standing working relationship with Axalta Coating Systems and fully trust its powder coatings."
Markus Koenigs, Marketing Communications Manager for Axalta's powder business in EMEA, says: "Our Teodur powder coatings are very versatile and come in a wide range of colours. We can even respond to our design customers' exacting demands by creating custom colours, something we have done in the past for bastalpe®. We are delighted that our coatings could provide just the right finish and impact required for such a refined design."
