The international supplier of paints and coatings Hempel celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Hempel Foundation.
Over 7,500 Hempel collaborators are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Hempel Foundation, established in 1948 by J.C. Hempel with the aim of ensuring the future development of his company, Hempel A/S. The Foundation now supports several pressing issues: as a matter of fact, last year it spent €21 million on philanthropic activities in the areas of education, biodiversity and science.
“By working at Hempel, all colleagues contribute to the work of the Hempel Foundation through their daily work. The Foundation’s work is a great source of pride and inspiration for all of us at Hempel. It shows us that we can make a difference by doing what we do best: deliver trusted solutions that protect assets, beautify spaces and enhance lives,” has commented Michael Hansen, Group President and CEO of Hempel A/S.
The Hempel Foundation has also contributed to the education, research and innovation centre at the Technical University of Denmark, in order to make coatings and surface protection more effective and sustainable. In addition, Hempel experts are invited each year to participate in an ‘iWitness tour’ to experience the Foundation's global work firsthand.
