Temanyl GF is a durable coating system for immersion environments that require superior resistance to chemical stress and high temperatures. The two-component glass flake reinforced vinyl ester coating is suitable for service in many chemical environments within the full pH range due to its excellent resistance to demineralized water and many solvents.

Temanyl GF is used for internal lining for offshore, onshore and buried tanks and pipes subject to extreme chemical exposure and mechanical wear. It is especially developed for long-term, economical protection of storage tanks. Only 1–2 coats of Temanyl GF are required to achieve the same durability that multi-layer systems offer. These properties result in cost-savings throughout the entire lifetime of the coated surface. The new coating is also fast-curing: surfaces coated with Temanyl GF can be taken into use 72 hours after application.

Superior chemical resistance and excellent protection against corrosion and mechanical wear result in minimized downtime, reduced maintenance costs and a longer service life.

Many industries use stronger chemicals than before. The interiors of chemical tanks, processing vessels and other expensive equipment in immersion service need to be sufficiently protected. In many cases traditional epoxy coating systems cannot provide enough protection against aggressive chemicals or solvents. Therefore, we are proud to introduce a new durable solution to our customers, says Žydrūnas Čepkauskas, Group Portfolio Development Manager for Metal Industry of Tikkurila Group.

TEMANYL GF AT A GLANCE • A two-component glass flake reinforced vinyl ester for demanding environments • Economical, long-lasting protection and lower life-cycle costs • Shorter curing, less downtime • Excellent acid resistance (formic, acetic, lactic, maleic and phthalic acid and sulphuric, phosphoric, nitric, perchloric acid) • Resistant against crude oil up to +90°C • Temperature resistance +100°C in sea water • Resistant to variety of alcohols, ketones and other solvents • Resistant to wet and dry sulphur dioxide and trioxide fumes • Application with airless spray • Dry film thickness 500–1000 μm
