Wayne Daniell will support the business strategy, the technology development and the operational and manufacturing efficiency of ChemQuest.
The ChemQuest Group has recently announced that it has appointed Wayne Daniell as the new director of its operations in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region: he will support the company to expand and optimise the business strategy, the technology development, the operational and manufacturing efficiency and its M&A advisory services.
Daniell possesses a wide
knowledge and experience on nanomaterials and coatings additives used for consumer electronics, renewable energy and white biotechnology. The new director of ChemQuest obtained a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Reading (United Kingdom) and a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Nottingham (United Kingdom). He also participated in an EU-funded Researcher Exchange Program with the Weizmann Institute of Science and served as a post-doctoral researcher at both the University of Nottingham and the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Germany).
“The wide-ranging expertise in specialty chemicals and advanced materials combined with the entrepreneurial spirit of Wayne are an ideal addition to the ChemQuest team, particularly as we continue to expand our reach in the EMEA region. His contributions will help us support the profitable growth of our clients through a broad range of projects,” has stated Daniel Murad, the CEO of ChemQuest.
In 2011, Daniell co-founded NanoScape AG and served as the CEO until its acquisition in 2015. He then managed the post-acquisition integration as well as a ten-fold production capacity expansion, before taking on operational responsibility for all production, quality control and product development activities. Most recently, Daniell served as business development manager for the Chemicals Division of SAES Getters SpA, with responsibility for all business development activities for the newly formed unit and with a focus on the commercialisation of functional additives.
“I was very fortunate to have worked with ChemQuest in a previous role, where their team’s breadth of applications coverage and in-depth insight into a range of market segments provided us with guidance on how to strategically reposition the company. Having spent my career commercializing technologies in the additives and advanced materials space, moving from the lab through scale-up to full commercialization, I am hoping to bring this experience to my new role. I’m very excited about joining the ChemQuest team and look forward to helping our clients develop appropriate strategies in order to achieve their goals,” has commented Daniell.
