In the context of surface treatment, cleaning generally requires high water and energy consumption, as well as high waste management costs. It is for these reasons that MEG, in addition to designing plants that use low-boiling and “Non-Ozone Destructive” new generation solvents (HFE, HFC, etc.), has introduced in these plants the heat pump system: the heat generated by the cooling unit of the machine is used to warm the solvent, therefore not avoiding electric heating elements in the boiling tank. Compared to the versions with traditional electric heating, the machines with heat pump have an average installed electrical power that is at least 50% lower.
