AkzoNobel is Developing Advanced Technologies for Electric Vehicles

AkzoNobel’s Powder Coatings has started to develop advanced technologies that will help to bring the automotive industry into the future. As e-mobility and the demand for electric vehicles is continuingly increasing all over the world, AkzoNobel is focusing its efforts on the growing needs of the customers within this industry.

Following the increasing global demand for electric vehicles, manufacturers within the e-mobility industry are seeking world class solutions that will help protect motors, battery systems and electrical storage of electrical cars and components. AkzoNobel has therefore decided to offer its expertise to this new and innovative field, by creating a dedicated powder coating portfolio, alongside a team of technical specialists providing expert assistance if needed.

The rapid growth of e-mobility has led to the emergence of new challenges but also opportunities for AkzoNobel, that will now help batteries last longer, thus allowing electric vehicles to drive even further. Market research suggests indeed that the global electric vehicles industry will be worth around $700billion by 2026, up from $140billion in 2019.
