AkzoNobel developed eleven special colours for Japanese regional airline AIRDO’s new Pokémon-themed livery.
Working in close collaboration with The Pokémon Company, eleven special colours were developed by AkzoNobel’s colour teams to paint a Pokémon-themed livery on AIRDO’s ROKON jet.
AIRDO is a regional Japanese airline that likes to contribute to development of Hokkaido. The aircraft was
painted in Japan by MRO JAPAN (MJP).
“We’re well known and respected for long-term re-branding programmes for many of the world’s biggest airlines, but we especially enjoy the opportunity of working on special projects like this. The first ROKON JET departed Shin-Chitose Airport in Hokkaido in Dec 2021 route for Tokyo’s Haneda airport”, said Jemma Lampkin, Sales Director, Asia Pacific for AkzoNobel.
“We are thrilled to join forces with Pokémon Air Adventures on this special project,” commented Takashi Yasuhiro, Director of AIRDO. “We want everyone to look to the skies with a smile on their face.”
