The new Hit 300 developed by Anton Paar allows to automatically measure up to 600 samples per hour.
After several years of development, Anton Paar TriTec has presented Hit 300, a nanoindentation tester that allows to automatically measure up to 600 samples per hour.
Nanoindentation (also known as instrumented indentation testing) is a complex and important method that allows to discover material surface properties, which are usually directly related to the final performances of a product.
“The new product is primarily aimed at the entry-level market. This makes powerful nanoindentation accessible for small and medium-sized companies, but also for training and research work at schools and universities," stated Aurelien Tournier-Fillon, product line manager of Anton Paar and project developer of Hit 300.
The new device enables simple and intuitive operations, as the setup takes just 15 minutes and the enrolment less than an hour. It is also the first instrument in this category to offer an integrated anti-vibration table that actively dampens any external vibrations for accurate results.
“We are really proud of what the development team has achieved here. There is nothing comparable on the market,” added Alfred Freiberger, Head of the Business Unit Characterization.
