For the ninth consecutive year, Clariant has been rated as one of the most sustainable companies in the chemical sector.
The manufacturer of specialty chemicals Clariant has announced that it has been listed in the 2021 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for its innovation and water management scores combined with an overall sustainability performance.
It is the ninth consecutive year that Clariant has been ranked as one of the most sustainable companies in the chemical sector. The listing awarded Clariant’s focus on environmental performance towards increased sustainability and the new environmental benchmarks for its operations.

I am proud that Clariant has been listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the ninth consecutive year with a particular strong rating in the area of innovation. At the beginning of 2021 Clariant announced its commitment to new 2030 sustainability targets, which include science-based targets for climate neutrality by 2050. The company is strengthening links between innovation, sustainability and digitalization to deliver high-quality innovation outcomes.
