Cortec presented a new high-tech packaging solution for corrosion protection: EcoSonic® ESD 3D Hoods powered by Nano-VpCI®.
Cortec Corporation's European facility, EcoCortec, has launched EcoSonic® ESD 3D Hoods powered by Nano-VpCI®. The new product combines patented VpCI® technology with antistatic properties and incorporates the latest developments in the packaging industry to provide effective corrosion protection.
EcoSonic® ESD 3D Hoods will protect metal parts from all types of corrosion for up to 2 years. It will also provide a recyclable and environmentally safe packaging option for items that need quality corrosion protection during both storage and transportation.
Among the many advantages offered by the EcoSonic® ESD 3D Hoods is the possibility for customers to return the waste material to the Croatian EcoCortec plant, where it is then recycled and used for the production of a new product. Additionally, EcoSonic® saves more time and money by eliminating the degreasing or coating removal normally required.
Additionally, Cortec's new EcoSonic® ESD 3D Hoods are transparent, making parts identification easier and contain no free amines, phosphates or halogen-based materials.
Metal objects packaged in EcoSonic® ESD 3D Hoods powered by Nano-VpCI® receive continuous protection against salt, excessive humidity, condensation, moisture, aggressive industrial atmospheres, and dissimilar metal corrosion. The VpCI’s vaporize and then condense to metal surfaces in the enclosed package. VpCI® molecules will reach every area of packaged part, protecting its exterior as well as hard-to-reach interior surfaces.
EcoSonic® ESD 3D Hoods have received approval from a leading institute for the recycling and disposal of packaging materials containing Cortec® proprietary chemistry.
“Our mission of circling our processes from manufacturing to disposal is now a reality. Our European plant as well as our American plants have launched film reprocessing programs to allow our customers to send their used VpCI® film back to our manufacturing facilities. This way we created a win-win-win situation for customers, the environment and for us as a manufacturer. Our clients do not have to pay large sums of money for disposal anymore, they can send their used VpCI® bags and films back to our plants”, says Boris Miksic, CEO of Cortec Corporation. This way, he adds, “both customers and manufacturers demonstrate environmental responsibility and reduce their carbon footprint in the process.”
Finally, EcoSonic® ESD 3D is manufactured in the Croatian factory and is available for shipments to Cortec's European customers but also around the world.
