The latest edition of Fastener Fair Global took place in Stuttgart (Germany) from 25th to 27th March 2025, providing an impressive overview of the latest developments and trends in fastening technology, with DÖRKEN showcasing its innovative PFAS-free coating solutions.

Fastener Fair Global 2025 has brought together manufacturers of bolts and fasteners, contract coaters, and OEMs to explore the latest innovations and technologies. As a matter of fact, the trade fair welcomed a large number of industry visitors, who took advantage of the opportunity for in-depth professional discussions and networking across the entire supply chain.

The coatings supplier DÖRKEN showcased its new PFAS-free product range, which includes basecoats and topcoats that have already been successfully tested in series production. Among them were DÖRKEN® SEAL 711 BLACK, DÖRKEN® SEAL 711 SILVER, DÖRKEN® BASE 120, DÖRKEN® BASE 105, and DÖRKEN® TOP 500 BLACK. These coatings maintain DÖRKEN’s renowned quality while ensuring compliance with anticipated PFAS regulations, helping customers prepare for potential bans.

“We had intensive discussions with many customers and business partners about the economy, current innovations and the potential PFAS ban. The discussions about the potential PFAS ban in particular took up a lot of space, as the handling of these substances in joining technology continues to be an important topic. As part of this, an event organised by the EIFI (European Industrial Fasteners Institute) took place on the first day of the trade fair, which dealt with the possible PFAS ban. The event was very well attended and demonstrated the industry's great interest in current developments and the status quo,” has stated Christos Tselebidis, CEO Industrial Coatings Dörken.

Moreover, DÖRKEN presented findings from series trials and projects developed using various PFAS-free prototypes, along with initial specification results. The company’s commitment to sustainable and regulatory-compliant solutions reinforces its position at the forefront of coating technology in the fastener industry.

“With numerous experts and speakers from various areas of the industry, the event was a complete success. Special thanks to the EIFI for their excellent work in bringing together everyone involved in the value chain to discuss different perspectives and solutions,” has added Sabrina Hilbt, Strategic Sales Manager at Dörken Coatings, who was also a speaker at the event.
