Interpon's new initiative aims to help manufacturers and coaters using Interpon powder coatings to better manage and reduce the amount of energy they consume.
Interpon, an AkzoNobel’s brand, has launched a new initiative to help manufacturers and coaters using Interpon powder coatings to better manage and reduce the amount of energy they consume to tackle rising energy costs and meet future sustainability goals.
The initiative explores how even small changes in the powder coating process can make a big difference on the value and volume of energy consumed. The initiative is based on an energy savings calculator that provides customers a first indication of the potential energy savings and carbon footprint reductions they can make. Furthermore, the calculator offers energy savings tips document that shows how simple measures such as checking for leakages in compressed air systems, improving insulation, and ensuring all process equipment is regularly serviced and maintained can all contribute to greater efficiency.
Interpon’s initiative also shows how different products can contribute to even more energy efficiency – through low temperature curing properties (e.g. Interpon 610 Low-E, Interpon ACE Low-E, and Interpon 700 HR) or single layer coating options (e.g. Interpon Redox One Coat).
“Sustainability is critical for all of us and helping our customers to reduce energy is one of the many ways we can work with, and for, our customers in meeting our shared ambitions. AkzoNobel’s own journey has already started in reducing our carbon emissions across our full value chain by 50% by 2030”, states Remco Maassen van den Brink, Marketing Director AkzoNobel Powder Coatings.
