Due to the uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the stricter regulations imposed by Baden-Württemberg on hygiene and distance for trade fairs and the limitations on international travel, the world's leading trade fair for industrial coating technologies will not take place this year.
On 1 July, 2020 entered into force in the German state of Baden-Württemberg the new Corona-Verordnung, which forbids any type of event with more than 500 participants until 31 October and requires an immense tightening of the security measures to be adopted. For this reason, the organizers of PaintExpo had to cancel the 2020 edition, which should have been held from 12 to 15 October.
"Together with our exhibitors and partners, we had hoped to be able to organize PaintExpo 2020 in October by taking appropriate measures for the health and safety of all participants," says Jürgen Haußmann, managing director of event promoters FairFair GmbH. "However, in the meantime the epidemiological situation has evolved and new regulations for events have been enacted in Baden-Württemberg. This has led us to decide to cancel this 8th edition. Furthermore, we made this decision on the basis of a survey among all the exhibitors of PaintExpo 2020, through which most of the interviewees proved to be against postponing the event once again".
"We are now ready to prepare the next regularly scheduled PaintExpo in order to provide the industry with the best possible conditions for successful trade fair participation".
The next edition will take place from 26 to 29 April 2022 at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Center.
