The PaintExpo 2024 edition experienced a strong visitors turnout and a great international atmosphere.
With over 10,400 visitors and a very busy atmosphere in three exhibition halls as well as countless highly-qualified professional conversations and new customer contacts, the ninth edition of the PaintExpo
trade fair – held from 9th to 12th April 2024 at the exhibition centre in Karlsruhe (Germany) – was a great success, according to the organisers from Leipziger Messe.
The last edition of the event dedicated to industrial paint and coating technologies, equipment and services covered 31,500 m2 of exhibition space and hosted more than 430 exhibitors coming from twenty-five different countries that presented new and ground-breaking technologies for sustainable and energy-efficient processes. The number of countries represented by the visitors of PaintExpo increased to seventy-six, with international exhibitors constituting almost half of the total.
“There was an incredible buzz in the air in the three exhibition halls, and you could hear a lot of different languages, which shows that providers and users gather here from all over the world. At PaintExpo, exhibitors presented groundbreaking innovations, established new business contacts and discussed specific projects that will shape the future of the industry. The success of PaintExpo 2024 confirms that our work with our partners is on the right track,” has declared Mariella Riedel, the project director of PaintExpo.
The event covered the full range of products and services across the entire supply chain, from pre-treatment, paints and plant and application technology to the final inspection and packaging. The highlights included a number of world premières, technological developments and pragmatic approaches to improve quality and digitising production processes.
“As the world's most important international platform for industrial coating technology, PaintExpo once again impressed exhibitors and visitors alike. We arere very pleased with the strong visitor turnout, which was even better than at the previous edition of the trade fair. PaintExpo is a powerful and innovative event and more international than ever before. For four days, it was the nerve centre of industrial coating technology, underlining our position as the most significant driving force in the industry worldwide,” has stated Markus Geisenberger, the CEO of Leipziger Messe.
Exhibitors of PaintExpo 2024 extremely satisfied
The trade fair was a very positive experience for the exhibitors: in the official survey, 94% declared that they would be exhibiting again at the next edition of PaintExpo, with nine out of ten respondents expecting good business opportunities following the fair.
“I am very satisfied with the leading trade fair for industrial coating technology. Our stand was very busy from the moment the doors opened. Half the visitors we welcomed were from outside Germany. From Argentina to Japan, they came from all over the world. As a global corporation, that was especially important for us,” has commented Michael Müller, the CEO of Wagner International.
“Even before PaintExpo got started, the tremendous interest among the visitors was palpable. The dynamics this year were intense, really different from last year. We were able to exchange ideas with a lot of visitors and the quality of the conversations was excellent. As a system coatings specialist and manufacturer, we meet our target customers from a wide range of industries when we come to PaintExpo. It is the most important industry get-together in our diary”, has also added Oliver Zanner, the head of Marketing at FreiLacke.
“I am also pleased that PaintExpo 2024 attracted a large number of international visitors. One of our employees has twenty-five years of trade fair experience and he said that the second day of PaintExpo was the best he had ever witnessed. My colleagues from different countries spent a lot of time talking with trade fair visitors in their respective national languages. That shows how international PaintExpo is,” has concluded Ulrich Tautz, the senior manager for the sales of industrial products at Dürr System.
The next edition of PaintExpo will take place from 14th to 17th
April 2026 at the exhibition centre in Karlsruhe.
