Railtex will reunite once again the international railway industry to focus on innovative and sustainable mobility.

Railtex will take place from 9th to 11th May 2023 at the NEC in Birmingham (UK). The event will gather all the major industry players from both the British and international railway market sector. The renewed public interest in rail travel and the need for more digitalised and greener solutions are driving the attention of the sector towards a more innovative and sustainable mobility. The upcoming exhibition will allow railway professionals to experience the latest innovations and technologies in person, as well as learn more about topics such as decarbonisation and meet business partners and new suppliers.

“Looking towards 2023, these are exciting times for the rail industry. The sector will not only continue to benefit from new opportunities, such as the ongoing rail projects from North to South and East to West in the United Kingdom, but also continue to grow amongst the challenges the rail sector has been confronted with,” has declared Olaf Freier, the portfolio director of Railtex. “Railtex 2023 is the place to be with all key players gathered in one place. We are glad to have the great support from our main show partner RIA – the Railway Industry Association, as well as our show partners, Rail Forum, Railway Benefit Fund, the CPD Certification Services, our media partners, and many more.”

Railtex has been one of the leading British trade fairs dedicated to the railway industry for over twenty-five years and it will continue to reunite all stakeholders of the rail sector and its key players, including operators, infrastructure authorities, vehicle builders, suppliers, transport policymakers and planners. As a matter of fact, several exhibitors have already renewed their attendance for the upcoming edition: Stadler Rail, EAO Ltd., Tidyco Ltd., Frauscher Sensor Technology and Hayley Group Ltd.

The extensive supporting programme of Railtex

Despite the challenging times the industry has been facing over the past two years, Railtex confirms to be a trusted industry event, playing a crucial role in companies’ recovery strategies in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The exhibition will also host several seminars and conferences led by experts and speakers, organised by the Railway Industry Association (RIA). The extensive supporting programme will provide valuable insights into future trends in railway technology and will feature a broad range of topics and sessions to address key challenges and opportunities.

“We are delighted that the Railway Industry Association will be the main show partner at Railtex 2023, providing an extensive programme across the event. Our programme this year is bigger than ever and includes a Future Focus Conference, to provide an environment where strategic discussions on the future of UK rail can take place, an Innovation Village, where key clients, stakeholders and suppliers will showcase what they are doing on innovation, the RIA Networking Zone and Meet the Buyer programme to support companies looking to get new products and services onto the network, and a Young Rail Professional Conference, bringing a new generation in rail to the show,” has added Darren Caplan, the chief-executive of the Railway Industry Association.

In addition, the show will also feature an On-Track Display and Plant & Machinery Exhibits for live machinery demonstrations, allowing companies to discover the latest technology in person and experience products and services from more than 180 different categories.

“Railtex is the place to be for the whole railway industry to meet under one roof and to experience products and equipment in action, and we look forward to welcoming the rail sector in Birmingham next May,” has concluded Freier, on behalf of the event organiser Mack-Brooks Exhibitions.

Mack-Brooks Exhibitions, part of RX Global, organises targeted trade fairs around the world in several industrial sectors. It is the main organiser of the most important railway shows in Europe, such as SIFER and EXPO Ferroviaria.
