Sherwin-Williams’ expanded portfolio includes a new naming system and six High Performance Flooring colour palettes.

Sherwin-Williams has recently announced that it has expanded its product portfolio for high performance flooring coatings, that includes also a new naming system for the epoxy product range and new colour palettes for the series of resin flooring products that serve industrial and commercial markets.

Furthermore, the company has launched a new website dedicated exclusively to High Performance Flooring, in order to enable customers to easily find – and be inspired by – the flooring systems, products and design features appropriate to their specific projects and applications. The website is intended not only for applicators, contractors and owners, but also for architects and designers: it is in fact equipped with tools for design and specification. The extended range of system guides allows to suit different budgets and requirements through all industrial sectors.

High Performance Flooring Portfolio

The new portfolio naming system, colour palettes and website are all part of the global strategy of Sherwin-Williams, dedicated to showcase the company’s expertise in high performance flooring. The flooring category encompasses a wide spectrum of seamless resin industrial and commercial floors that are not only highly durable, but also aesthetically appealing and suitable for stadiums, arenas, schools, universities, healthcare facilities and manufacturing.

“We are well known for our enduring relationships among contractors and flooring applicators because of our efficient distribution and hands-on technical assistance. We do whatever it takes to support flawless, timely execution – and contractors know that they can depend on us. At the same time, we are resourceful during the specification and design phases of the project,” stated Casey Ball, the Global Market Director for the High Performance Flooring division of Sherwin-Williams. “A floor is the one, continuous element in a building design, and is critical to realising the designer’s vision. Our High Performance Flooring team is uniquely qualified to provide assistance in product selection and related design concerns, as well as custom colour matching and other areas of support.”

The new product portfolio naming system gathers together series from several previous product lines, it is organised by chemistry (e.g., epoxy, polyurethane comfort floor, polyurethane cement, polyaspartic etc.) and subdivided by function (e.g., heavy-duty flooring for food facilities, clean rooms, aviation hangars). However, the codes for each individual product will not change. For example, if customers previously ordered Resucoat HB with the code COHB, now they will order ResuflorTM HB with the same code COHB.

Moreover, the new portfolio includes six High Performance Flooring colour palettes, corresponding to six types of blends: Resuflor™, FasTop™, SofTop™, Deco Quartz, Deco Flake and Terrazzo. They consist of updated shades applicable to a wide range of the High Performance Flooring products and systems.

“Designers, architects and specifiers who work with Sherwin-Williams know that we are agile and discerning in the category of colour expertise. We will fine-tune the colour until it’s just right. It’s not unusual for us to generate several colour samples in grey or blue, for example, as we assist designers in discovering the perfect shade for the project,” concluded Bell.
