AkzoNobel's Interpon brand introduced a new 3D imaging technology, designed to help architects and specifiers choose exactly the right coating for their needs.
Choosing the right powder coating has never been easier: AkzoNobel's new tool is designed to help architects and designers choose the coating that best suits their needs. The company's in-house digital color expertise has been fundamental for the development of this new tool and for solving some technical challenges. Interpon's new 3D color tool allows not only to digitally rotate the coating samples, but also to zoom in and out and view them in different environments - providing a realistic preview of what the actual finish looks like in reality.
Furthermore, 3D color tool allows to show metallic and pearl sparkle effects, which can seem almost as striking as the coating products themselves, as well as offer an incredibly realistic sense of color, texture, smoothness and glossiness,
"As the industry leader in powder coatings, we're always looking to improve our products and digital tools to help customers find the perfect solution". "Our 3D tool is as close to the real thing as it gets and is just the latest example of how we go beyond imagination and work tirelessly to develop new technologies that will benefit our customers", says Daniela Vlad, Business Unit Director for AkzoNobel Powder Coatings.
"We are very excited and happy to help customers improve the accuracy and efficiency of the work they do and to offer the creative freedom that allows designers, architects and the industry in general to achieve the perfect finish". "Choosing the right color, structure and shine is crucial when during the powder coating selection process", concludes Daniela Vlad.
3D color tool is available via the AkzoNobel Design app.
