Carboline’s Hydroplate 6500 is a 100% solids and ultra-high build epoxy lining for concrete and steel assets in severe wastewater service.
Carboline has recently announced the launch of Hydroplate 6500, its new 100% solids and ultra-high build epoxy lining specifically
developed for concrete and steel assets operating in severe wastewater service. As it is glass-flake reinforced in its formulation, the new product offers excellent abrasion as well as impact resistance – so it is capable of achieving over 250 mils in a single pass.
Hydroplate 6500 has also been developed to ensure an easier and more consistent application process, offering an extended pot life and allowing application through either single-leg or plural-component equipment at spray pressures down to 2,500 psi. In addition, the lining minimises downtime and costs due to its rapid return-to-service time of only 10 hours.
“We are thrilled to introduce Hydroplate 6500 to the market. This is a game-changing solution for the owner, specifier, and applicator alike: an ultra-high build lining that offers exceptional resistance to hydrogen sulphide and biogenic corrosion, with an extremely short return to service time and absolutely unmatched simplicity in its application,” has stated Jeremy Sukola, the Water & Wastewater Market Manager of Carboline. “Hydroplate 6500 represents a significant leap forward in corrosion control in the water and wastewater infrastructure space. Our commitment to innovation has driven us to create a product that not only meets, but far exceeds the expectations of our customers.”
