ECKART's participation in ECS 2025 highlights its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the future of the coatings industry.
ECKART is showcasing groundbreaking innovations at the European Coatings Show (ECS) 2025 in Nuremberg (Germany). Under the theme ‘GO: FUTURE’, ECKART presents a range of advanced solutions for various coating applications, emphasising sustainability, versatility, and enhanced performance.
Among the highlights are two new zinc flake pigments for corrosion protection: STANDART® Zinc Matt Black and ProFLAKE® Zn HYDRO PM 3090. STANDART® Zinc Matt Black offers superior rust resistance without requiring an additional topcoat, while ProFLAKE® Zn HYDRO PM 3090
is the world’s first zinc pigment for water-based systems, designed specifically for industrial applications.
ECKART also addresses the emerging needs of autonomous driving with radar-transparent coatings. SILVERSHINE Hydro Platinum and Titanium Grey, water-based pigment pastes, provide structure-free metallic surfaces, ideal for silver-effect coatings and color designs that ensure the functionality of vehicle sensors.
The METALURE® Prismatic 100560 MA pigment dispersions stand out with their striking metallic rainbow effects, created through VMP technology. These versatile products are compatible with a wide range of solvents and binders, making them suitable for electronics, automotive components, and premium packaging. ECKART’s METALURE® C series adds a full spectrum of chrome effects, delivering high image sharpness and a mirror-like finish. For industrial and automotive applications, ECKART introduces the STAPA® HD metallic pigment pastes. These high-density pigments offer exceptional coverage and brilliance, making them a cost-effective solution for exterior and interior coatings.
The SILVET AD series, a new range of aluminum flakes, enhances solvent-based printing inks, providing a variety of silver tones with improved handling characteristics. Additionally, the AQUAVEX
series excels in water-based printing ink formulations, offering excellent opacity, brightness, and adhesion. ECKART also presents the METALSTAR Eco
and TOPSTAR Eco series, which feature mineral-oil-free gold and silver inks based on vegetable oils and fatty acid esters, meeting the new French regulations while maintaining excellent print quality.
Sustainability remains a core focus with the introduction of the AL-II product line, made from secondary aluminum. These products have the lowest carbon footprint in the industry, significantly reducing CO2 emissions. ECKART also unveils a new sustainability guide to help customers understand how their products contribute to climate protection.
Looking toward the future, ECKART introduces the 2026 trend colors for coatings. The five color palettes combine subtly shaded silver tones with metallic and pearlescent effects, reflecting the themes of technology and progress while evoking emotional connections to the past.
Finally, ECKART presents solutions for plastics, including LASERSAFE 020, a pigment for light-colored laser coatings on dark plastics, and MASTERSAFE, a low-dust, low-odor pellet portfolio with reduced CO2 properties, ideal for food packaging.
