PPG has launched its “Virtual PPG Aerospace Academy Education Program” that provides resources and training on the company’s aerospace products.
On September 1st, PPG announced the launch of the “Virtual PPG Aerospace Academy Education Program”, a virtual training programme
that will allow users to gain on-demand access to online learning modules and resources on the company’s aerospace products.
The nine online courses related to coatings are already available and cover a wide range of themes, from the basics of surface preparation and priming to cutting-edge technology such as basecoat/clearcoat systems and PPG AEROCRON™ electrocoat primer. The company is also planning to further expand the offering, which will include parts on its sealants, adhesives and packaging for the aerospace industry.
“Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve adapted our training modules to provide future-forward means of interacting with and supporting our customers. Participants are not restricted by their physical location or ability to travel. First-hand access to industry-leading resources is now only a few clicks away,” stated Jonathan Love, PPG Aerocron commercial support team leader. “PPG Aerospace Academy ensures that our customers are at the forefront of the latest aerospace technologies. Whether it be through traditional classroom and hands-on experiences or our new online training, the academy aims to keep participants ahead of the curve.”
This new virtual training resources, that are an expansion of the in-person PPG Aerospace Academy, have been created to ensure better flexibility and access to the company’s expertise.
