Sherwin-Williams has launched a new urethane designed to facilitate application in high humidity and other harsh environments.
Coatings manufacturer Sherwin-Williams unveiled a new enhanced moisture cure urethane that provides protection for military equipment.
The topcoat, specifically engineered for ease of application in high humidity and other challenging environments, has been approved by the Army Research Lab and meets MIL-DTL-53039 requirements.
In addition, the new urethane dries quickly and provides consistent results.
Applicators can achieve a high film thickness in any environment due to the product's increased sag resistance - up to 15 mils wet - and improved adhesion properties. The new moisture cure urethane comes as a ready-to-spray solution that helps applicators reduce material and labour costs while providing high quality performance and consistency.
“Beyond meeting performance specifications, the new moisture cure urethane optimizes throughput and batch-to-batch uniformity for our customers,” said Matt Flory, Sherwin-Williams global director of sales and marketing for military coatings. “The ready-to-spray formula also contributes to increased productivity. It sets a new standard for performance and application for military topcoats.”
