The new technology centre allows Sika to increase its production capacities for specialty chemicals in the Asian market.
The specialty chemicals supplier Sika has recently opened a new technology centre in Suzhou (China), in order to develop sustainable and high-performance technologies - thus playing a key role in the Asian chemicals market. The Suzhou Technology Center is located on the outskirts of Shanghai and represents Sika's second largest technology centre with over 9,000 m2
of usable space.
The facilities of the newly-implemented centre include laboratories for the development of adhesives and sealants as well as a research infrastructure for additives and several laboratories for developing innovative solutions for the automotive sector.
“With our new Technology Center, we are strengthening our innovation capabilities in the Asia/Pacific region and fostering synergies in sustainable construction and environmentally friendly mobility. We have created the ideal framework for close collaboration between our research teams.
