ECKART will showcase its wide portfolio of sustainable pigments for powder coatings at ECS 2023.
ECKART
has announced a series of new pigments to help reduce the carbon footprint
that will presented at the European Coatings Show, the trade fair dedicated to the global paints and coatings industry that will take place from 28th to 30th March 2023 in Nuremberg (Germany).
The company will present its new AL-II effect pigments consisting entirely of recycled aluminium that offer a brilliance and functionality rank equal to traditional products. They are suitable for several coating system and different end-use, such as industrial, automotive and plastics powder coatings.
The 2024 colour trends
will also be presented during the event. While exploring how science and technology could drive transformation, the trend scouts of ECKART found inspiration in the aesthetics of the 20th century Futurist Movement and identified five major trends for 2024 – Hope, Power, Extravaganza, Progress and Essentials. In total, these visuals supply thirty exciting new coating formulations based on effect pigments.
During the event, the company will also showcase the can aluminium and pearlescent pigments for compostable products, complying with the composting process according to DIN EN 13432:
- STAPA HYDROXAL E 8 SEED (aluminium paste for water-based systems).
- STAPA IL HYDROLAN S 1500 (thin encapsulated silver pigments for coatings).
- STANDART CHROMAL VIII (aluminium pigments in powder form for coatings and printing).
- SYMIC C001 (synthetic pearlescent pigments).
- LUXAN C393 (glass-based pigments for coatings and printing inks).
Furthermore, visitors of the European Coatings Show will be able to experience NIR SILVER, a tailor-made pigment to support the automatic plastics recycling process, and EDELSTEIN Sapphire Blue – a strong deep blue colour with distinct light-dark flop plus anti-fading effect.
Finally, ECKART will present at its booth n. 132 in hall 3A:
