Syensqo will showcase its sustainable high-performing portfolio, comprising advanced additives and surfactants for paints and coatings.
Syensqo
has recently announced that the company formerly part of Solvay Group will showcase its sustainable high-performing portfolio comprising advanced additives and surfactants at the American Coatings Show & Conference, the international trade fair dedicated to paints and coatings that will take place from 30th April to 2nd
May 2024 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis (U.S.A.).
At the event, Syensqo will exhibit several new solutions. The visitors will then be able to discover products that help coating manufacturers to improve performances while also enabling safer and more eco-friendly formulations, in order to meet both strict industry regulations and consumer demands.
“Tighter regulations and increased consumer awareness and influence are driving the paints and coatings industry toward better, safer and more sustainable formulations, particularly in waterborne coatings. Enabling these transitions while still meeting performance expectations creates numerous opportunities for novel additives. Delivering on our mission to advance humanity with safe and eco-friendly products while maintaining high performance, we are proud to showcase our industry-leading additives and surfactants, custom-engineered for this market segment,” has stated Pierre Hennaux, the development manager of the North-American Coatings business line of Syensqo.
More specifically, the company will present Addibond 106, a waterborne adhesion promoter that delivers significantly enhanced dry and wet bonding properties for metal coatings. It can be very easily incorporated at any stage of the formulation in low active concentrations with little or no impact on other performance criteria such as gloss, color, pH or viscosity. It is also free of alkylphenol ethoxylates (APE) and has very low levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
In addition, Syensqo will showcase the brand-new specialty additive Rhodoline HBR – an alternative to fluorosurfactants used in coating formulations, specifically developed to provide early hot block resistance to architectural paint on freshly coated surfaces – and the Sipomer Mac specialty monomer, designed to improve adhesion and provide excellent corrosion protection in direct-to-metal formulations. Finally, at booth 2550, visitors will discover the Reactsurf 2490 APE-free emulsifier for adhesives and coatings applications, which help formulators enhance water whitening resistance
while effectively improving dirt pick-up resistance.
