Harter GmbH has recently presented its new heat pump for condensation drying systems, specifically developed for users requiring a technology that does not only dehumidify and recuperate heat, but that also allows to dry the painted surfaces without generating exhaust air and save energy.

Dehumidification enables to employ extremely dry air, which is unsaturated and therefore capable of quickly absorbing any humidity. The basic version without condensation recuperates a certain amount of heat with a cross-flow heat exchanger, but it uses ambient air from the production area that is subsequently released as humidity-laden air into the facility.

Heat pumps, on the other hand, allow to create a closed air circuit: the humid air is cooled and the humidity condenses to form water that then leaves the heat pump, while the air is reheated and returned into the circuit. By using condensation drying, the energy is recuperated completely. Furthermore, temperature control is also much easier.
