This certification marks another milestone in Arkema’s global Mass Balance roadmap, expanding its bio-attributed product offerings.
Arkema has achieved ISCC PLUS certification for its acrylic and liquid polyester resins (OFPE) production site in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.
Moreover, it will enable customers across various industries in the region to access more sustainable solutions for high-growth applications, including coatings, adhesives for new energy technologies, green mobility, and infrastructure efficiency.
“This certification expands the availability of Arkema advanced liquid resins solutions from renewable origin with a lower product carbon footprint. It offers a new range of bio-attributed materials, reinforcing the already existing bio-based resins and additives offer containing up to 100% biobased content,” has commented Yoon Hock CHONG, Managing Director ACRM Coating Solutions Southeast Asia.
The ISCC PLUS certification of products manufactured at Arkema’s Pasir Gudang site builds on previous certifications in the U.S., Europe, and China. As part of its sustainability strategy, Arkema is progressively expanding its bio-attributed portfolio to include a full range of specialty resins and additives, such as high solids, waterborne, UV/LED/EB, and polyester powders.
