Tim Bowes will enhance Axalta’s position in the coatings industry, focusing on sustainable and high-performance solutions for a global customer base.

has announced the appointment of Tim Bowes as President, Global Industrial Coatings.
Tim Bowes previously served as Axalta’s Senior Vice-President and Chief Transformation Officer. Before joining Axalta, he was Senior Vice-President and President of Electrification, Industrial, Aftermarket, Purchasing & Supply Chain at Meritor. Tim Bowes has also held the position of Senior Vice-President and President of the Casting business unit at American Axle & Manufacturing, as well as CEO and President of Transtar Industries, an industrial and automotive aftermarket company.
Additionally, he has held executive leadership
roles at ITT Automotive and Intermet. Tim Bowes holds a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and a bachelor’s degree from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan.
