Axalta, one of the major global manufacturers of liquid and powder coatings, has increased the production and supply of Voltatex®, a line of electrical insulating products, to allow medical device customers to continue rapidly supplying devices and machinery requested worldwide by hospitals active in the fight against COVID-19.
Voltatex includes a wide range of wire enamels, core sheet varnishes and impregnating resins. The latter are key components of electric motors, generators and transformers and offer mechanical stability, high electrical insulation and excellent protection against a wide variety of environmental factors.
The Voltatex product line is mainly used in pulmonary ventilator motors, low-power servo motors for N95 facemask machines and superconductors for magnetic resonance imaging with the aim of reducing energy demand and emissions and ensuring greater safety of operational processes.
