BYK-Gardner has launched a new version of its data analysis software smart-chart.
BYK-Gardner has announced an advanced version of its data analysis software smart-chart, which combines colour and appearance data in one data analysis software and offers new functions for efficient BIG DATA management.
The new features
The measured data in smart-chart is saved in a SQL database which allows handling of large data sets over time, full network and server compatibility. Data can be easily shared within the supply chain by extracting mini databases that can be sent by email and combined with other databases.
The new version has a display of red and green tolerance lines based on the product specifications in standard management that can easily indicate a quality drift so that users can proactively take measures to avoid costly rejects.
It also has a new drill-in function which shows the last 20 measurements of the same model, colour and painting line.
The software also has a new User Management which allows definition of various user levels with different access rights.
Data can be saved in projects in order to manage the lab work. Moreover, multiple projects can be opened at the same time and an automatic saving and closing process can be defined.
Samples can be organized into different groups and each group is displayed in one colour in the graphs.
Further analysis of measurement results is possible thanks to an advanced sorting function based on all the colorimetric values shown in the data table.
smart-chart 7.1 supports the new BYK-Gardner instruments wave-scan 3 for orange peel control, and spectro2profiler for the analysis of structured surfaces.
