The acquisition of matchmycolor allows Datacolor to expand its colour formulation and communication software solutions.
The international provider of colour management solutions Datacolor has recently announced that it has acquired matchmycolor LLC, a technology company specialised in colour formulation and communication software. matchmycolor was established in 2009 and achieved sales of about $3 million in fiscal 2022 with around 20 employees, who will continue to operate from the offices of the company in Basel (Switzerland). Datacolor will then be able to strengthen its market position and further expand its global industrial presence.
The acquisition of matchmycolor, which costs and integration will affect the fiscal years 2022/23 and 2023/24, is aligned with the vision of Datacolor to continuously invest in strengthening its comprehensive product portfolio of high-precision hardware and software solutions as well as its market-leading global service and sales organisation.
“We welcome all employees of matchmycolor in the Datacolor family. This acquisition enhances our ability to deliver innovative colour management solutions, strengthening our comprehensive software offering. Together, we will empower customers to achieve accurate and consistent colour performance across the globe,” has commented Albert Busch, the CEO of Datacolor.
“We are delighted become part of a world-leading group, which will enable us to serve customers in a much larger market than before. We are looking forward to be joining forces with Datacolor. As one company, we will be able to offer an even wider range of solutions that will help customers achieve their colour management goals,” have jointly added Michael Jakobi and Judy van de Langkruis, the owners of matchmycolor.
