CloudQC Viewer allows to evaluate digital colour samples from anywhere and at any time.
The global supplier of colour management solutions Datacolor® has recently released the beta version of CloudQC Viewer, a new SaaS colour quality control (QC) application designed to assist colour professionals with the evaluation of digital colour samples from anywhere and at any time.
The new application is part of Datacolor’s digital cloud platform, simple, user friendly and available on-demand for professionals who need to evaluate colour digitally. This version allows to import QTX files, display colour patches and colorimetric data. In addition, CloudQC Viewer enables collaboration on evaluation results, data storage and device connectivity.
“COVID-19 accelerated the need for a more flexible way to manage color, increasing demand for digitalization and the ability to work remotely. To meet the changing needs of color professionals, we decided to design an easy-to-use, cloud-based quality control solution enabling users to evaluate and manage color accurately from anywhere, at any time. We are excited to bring CloudQC Viewer to the market today. This beta version will be free, and we are eager to gather user feedback to further develop this application in line with customer needs,” stated Albert Busch, President and CEO of Datacolor.
CloudQC Viewer is also suitable for colour generalists and other users with no digital colour management processes in place, so it ensures freedom and ability to evaluate colours at home, in office and even on the road
“I could start using the CloudQC immediately for lap dip evaluations. It will speed communication with my internal teams. Sharing digital files instead of printouts will improve the process and reduce carbon footprint,” commented Amber Ross, Quality Assurance Specialist at Cintas and Datacolor customer.
