The Dörken Days resumed in-person to allow presentations of new technologies and networking opportunities.
After an unfortunate break caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Dörken
was able to host its Dörken Days once again. For the 10th time, customers, market partners and corrosion experts had the opportunity to meet and exchange their experiences and knowledge on several topics.
Following a strict health and safety protocol, more than 130 professionals gathered in Dortmund (Germany) on September 29th for an evening get-together and on the next day to attend seminars and workshops to share ideas and network. Participants also received a market overview on the global corrosion protection activities of Dörken and on the requirements related to the carbon footprint for the entire supply chain.
Guest speakers included Valerij Schram from Peiner Umformtechnik GmbH, who provided a lecture on "How to make hot-dip galvanized bolts even better", and Fabian Simonsen (EJOT) and Martin Müller (WMV), who presented an innovative coating technology for small parts. In addition, Bruno Forster from Forplan
explained the features of a coating system that increases the quality and efficiency of the coating of wedge-lock washers, while Michael Hense (Walther Pilot) and Tobias Kleyer from Dörken presented a project for pin-sharp coating using a new spray technology.
“Including the evening before, we experienced two highly successful days. And finally live again! The participating industry experts intensively used the opportunity to network along the whole value chain and were able to exchange ideas and expertise,” stated Gerhard Reusmann, CTO & COO at Dörken.
