GLIDDEN Paint by PPG has announced its colour of the year 2022: Guacamole (PPG1121-5). It is a lively but soothing green that finds ample space in interior design and that is able to give energy and balance, as well as a zen feeling to any space.
Over 30 colour experts from GLIDDEN Paint by PPG have carefully analysed and evaluated trends in numerous sectors that impact colour preferences, including runways, lifestyles, global events and cross-cultural inspirations, to determine which colours consumers will actually use in 2022 and beyond. After studying last year's global impact, they recognized that green would be the colour for 2022. As evidence of this, online searches for green paint colours have increased by 200%. This shows that homeowners are looking for rejuvenation and regrowth after experiencing the strangest year on record.
According to a survey conducted by The Harris Poll on behalf of GLIDDEN Paint by PPG, more than three in five (62%) Americans would be willing to use green paint somewhere in their home, and luckily, they have several of options to do so: colour complements a variety of spaces and styles and according to experts it can be used in kitchens, offices, bedrooms, but also with wood furniture.
