Europolveri has provided its sales network, customers and final users with a new consultation tool aimed at simplifying the choice of the most suitable product for the specific requirements.
It is a new sample range, manufactured in collaboration with i.dek, a leading company in the production of sublimation films and other products for technical applications. The new sample range includes a wide range of "wood effect" test plates manufactured employing sublimation technology.
The new sample range consists of test plates with dimensions (they measure 195 x 85 mm) and faithfulness that allow to fully appreciate all the characteristics and pluses of the treatment: The aesthetic value of the surface, the variety of colour shades, the diversity and perfect reproduction of wood grain obtained employing the ArchitecturalLignum coatings produced by Europolveri and the polyester films manufactured by i.dek.
The sublimation process requires the pre-treatment of the metal surface (extruded aluminium or even steel) with the application of specific powder coatings that favour the absorption of the polyester film decorations. After cross-linking in the oven, the artefact or semi-processed item is wrapped in the film containing the decorations, which is then sealed and any residual air extracted by means of the vacuum technique so as to create a perfect adhesion between the film and the surface to be treated. Then the sublimation phase is carried out by inserting the items in the oven at preset temperatures and times; in this phase the decorations contained on the film are transferred permanently to the metal surface. At the end, the remaining film is removed by blowing.
The quality level of the ArchitecturalLignum powder coatings developed by Europolveri for sublimation technology applications is guaranteed by the "Qualideco" licence obtained by this range of products.
The ArchitecturalLignum product range as well as the series for sublimation application techniques also includes a series of polyester based powder coatings for "powder on powder" technique application both on horizontal and vertical surfaces.
The ArchitecturalLignum powder coatings are a valid solution whenever a faithful reproduction of wood grain is required on metal artefacts destined of outdoor and indoor use: Doors, shutters, windows, entrance doors, up-and-over doors, architectural structures and coatings, home appliances, furnishing elements.
