The paintistanbul & Turkcoat Congress, dedicated to the paint and coatings industry, concluded with a record number of attendees.
The 9th edition of the International paintistanbul & Turkcoat Congress and Exhibition, which has been organised by the Association of Paint Industry Bosad and Chem Media last 5th and 6th
December, broke an attendance record. The exhibition was attended by 1425 visitors with 71 international attendees, representing the highest number of visitors among all congresses held so far.
The paintistanbul&Turkcoat Congress gathers paints and coatings manufacturers and raw material suppliers as well as officials from universities, institutes and research centres, in order to discuss sustainability criteria. The President of ISO Erdal Bahçıvan congratulated Bosad and its board of directors for hosting this organisation, while the Vice-President of TİM and President of İKMİB Adil Pelister has pointed out the main themes of the congress, namely innovation, sustainability, functionality, digitalisation and artificial intelligence.

Our fair will take place at Istanbul Expo Center between May 8-10. The program included several keynote speeches, sessions, commercial presentations and a panel discussion. As follows, some examples:
- Mustafa Tunçgenç, Eva Consultancy, had a speech named "History and Present of the Turkish Paint Industry."
- Yusuf Menceloğlu, Board Member of Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center, held a presentation on the topic "Can Radiative Cold Coatings Combat Climate Change?"
- Hasan Şerefhan, Technical Factory Director of DYO Construction Paints with the panel discussion "Sustainable Innovative Approaches in the Paint Industry."
Lastly, Ersin Kenan Kayalar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kayalar Kimya, drew attention to the need for the Turkish paint industry to be more active in terms of exports and then stressed the importance of adhering to global regulations, particularly in the context of sales to developed countries.
